Russia has not taken active action in the Volyn and Polissya areas, and there are no signs of the formation of its offensive groups. Ukrainian air defence forces and means are transferred to the intensified duty mode.

We also have strengthened the protection of headquarters, communications centers, military camps, arsenals, and bases, as well as the warehouses for weapons, military equipment, and lubricant fuel. The report of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this as of 6 am on the 58th day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the russian occupiers.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to partially block Kharkiv, firing on units of our troops and critical infrastructure.

In the Izium direction, the enemy concentrated up to 25 battalion tactical groups from the 1st tank army, the 20th and 35th all-military armies, and the 68th army corps of the eastern military district, and airborne troops of russian armed forces”, the statement said.

In the area of the Zavody settlement, russians are trying to launch an offensive. The enemy has reached the northern outskirts of Dibrovne, trying to gain a foothold on the achieved frontier.

In the Donetsk and Tavriya directions, the occupiers intensified hostilities along the entire combat line during the day. The enemy assaults the area of Zarichne and tries to advance in the area of Rubizhne.

Defensive battles with the enemy continue in the direction of Novtoshkivske and Popasna. The enemy keeps trying to assault Marinka with artillery. At the same time, the occupiers are strengthening groups of troops in the Zaporizhia direction. Measures for the logistical support of the occupying forces are underway.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy continues to fire on units of the Defense Forces, tried to conduct battle reconnaissance near Trudolyubivka, it suffered losses and retreated to previously occupied positions.

Russia suffers losses regularly.

“According to the available information, on 20 April this year, about 220 wounded servicemen of russian armed forces and more than 50 bodies of the killed invaders were taken to the central district hospital of Novoaydar. Moreover, the battalion tactical group of the 136th separate motorized infantry brigade of the 58th all-military army of the southern military district, operating in the Kurakhiv direction, suffered significant losses in manpower (up to 250 people) and lost up to 10 jets and artillery systems”, the General Staff informed.

Also, the personnel of the 150th motorized infantry division of the 8th all-military army of the southern military district, which was involved in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, did not receive the so-called ‘combat money’ in March. That is why the servicemen express their dissatisfaction and indignation.

To prevent the disruption of the spring conscription campaign in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the occupiers ban passage on the peninsula from 30 April.

In the temporarily occupied territories, enemy units continue to block the movement of civilians, loot, and artificially approach the humanitarian crisis - destroying critical infrastructure and blocking the delivery of humanitarian goods from Ukraine. There have been cases of executions of civilians and volunteers.

Ten attacks of russian occupiers were repulsed in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts over the past 24 hours, six tanks, eight armored units, fifteen vehicles, and four artillery systems were destroyed.

Fifteen air targets were destroyed by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, together with anti-aircraft gunners of the Land and Assault Forces, Marines, and the National Guard, on the previous day: nine UAVs, three planes, and three helicopters.

Earlier in March, the Ukrainian intelligence warned about the preparation of ban passage on the occupied Crimea. The formal reason for this decision of the russian authorities is the fight against ‘Ukrainian saboteurs’ and the prevention of ‘terrorist attacks’. The real one is to prevent the escape, including russian citizens, who have relocated since the beginning of the occupation.
