The Air Defense (AD) of the Air Forces and the Ground Army hit 15 air targets of the Russian occupiers on 21 April 2022, informs the Command of the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
“Day of 21 April is really fruitful for the Ukrainian AD as it has destroyed 15 air targets at once,” says the announcement.
In particular, the Ukrainians destroyed three aircrafts (preliminary, Su-34, Su-35, Su-25), three helicopters (two Mi-8 and one Ka-52), and nine UAVs (Orlan-10).
And nine of them are drones of tactical level Orlan-10. SAM units of the Ground Army destroyed 6 such devices. The air cavalry destroyed two of them with the help of MANPADS and the Surface-to-Air Missile Forces of the Air Forces destroyed one UVA.
Near the same time, the surface-to-air units of the air command Skhid (East) of the Air Forces destroyed two Russian aircrafts in Izum direction. Preliminary those were Su-34 and Su-35.
The air assault troops added the Su-25 attack aircraft and the Mi-8 helicopter to the statistics of the downed enemy planes.
Marines downed one more Mi-8.
“It is even more pleasant that the demilitarization of the Russian aviation and destruction of pilot-killers involve soldiers from the National Guard of Ukraine: they inform about downing Alligator – the Ka-52 helicopter of rashists,” say the servicemen.
