The exhumation of the citizens’ bodies who died during the occupation is coming to an end in Bucha.

The mayor of the city Anatoly Fedoruk reported about it on Facebook.

"In Bucha, an important and complex process is coming to an end – the collection and exhumation of the killed and dead in the Bucha community. The number we have today is 412. But it will still be clarified at the level of investigators and experts who work seven days a week. This means that every third victim in the Kyiv region is from Bucha. We are still counting the wounded," the mayor said.

According to his words, among the victims of the invaders are killed, shot and tortured by the occupiers, there are burnt bodies of civilians. There are hospital patients who could not be buried after February 24 because the russians did not allow the funeral service to enter the cemetery. There are several defenders from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Now the main task I set for the communal services is to identify everyone," Fedoruk said.

The mayor added that the Bucha City Council provides all the families of the dead with the necessary paraphernalia. There are coffins, crosses, wreaths, and plaques in the communal ritual service.

"There is also the required number of places in the cemetery on Deputatska Street. Everything is free – at the expense of the community budget. Serhiy Kaplychnyi, the head of the ritual service, is responsible for this. We want to help families bury the dead within the next week – until the funeral days," – is said in the mayor’s message.

russia transferred to Mariupol the soldiers who committed atrocities in Bucha. On April 21, windows in the occupied Bucha began to be installed in houses affected by the russian invasion. According to Deputy Interior Minister Yevhen Yenin, more than 800 civilians have been killed in whole families in the Kyiv region.
