The chairman of the Group of Twenty and the President of Indonesia, Joko Vidodo, invited Volodymyr Zelenskyy to take part in the summit.

Zelenskyy reported about it on Twitter.

“I spoke with the President of Indonesia Joko Vidodo. Thanked him for the support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and in particular, for a clear position in the UN. We discussed food security issues. I am grateful for the invitation to take part in the G20 summit”, Zelenskyy wrote.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the United States and its allies are putting pressure on Indonesia, which is the host of the summit G20 in November, to invite Ukraine as a guest of the event.

The United States and its allies are also requiring the exclusion of russia from the G20, although other countries, including China, oppose such a move. It is unknown at this time whether Putin will take part in the summit.

If Putin decides to come and Zelenskyy agrees to be a guest at the event, this may be their first meeting since the summit of the "Norman Quartet" in 2019.
