Great Britain and other western states have to provide Ukraine with military jets under the long-term military support to this country.
The Foreign Minister Liz Truss said that she would deliver a speech on external policy in London Mansion House, BBC writes.
In her speech, she will mention that the West “has to be prepared for the long-term perspective and double our support” for Ukraine.
“After Russia’s invasion, Ukraine repeatedly requested the allies to supply heavy weapons like jets and tanks. NATO provided light weapons mainly out of fear of escalation. Mrs. Truss will tell the audience in the London Mansion House that “Ukraine’s fate is hanging by a thread” and that the West “may not calm down,” the edition indicates.

“If putin succeeds, it will bring Europe enormous suffering and will have horrible aftermath for the entire world,” she will state.
“Heavy weapons, tanks, jets – we go deep into our reserves and increase production. We need to do it all,” BBC writes.
Truss will repeat the call for an increase in Great Britain’s expenditure on defense.
Truss stated that “we will not calm down until putin loses, and Ukraine wins”.
On 26 April, the British Deputy Minister of the Defense James Heappey stated that the British could give to Ukraine anti-ship missiles Brimstone in the nearest weeks.
