NATO expects further provocations in Moldova and believes that their goal is to create problems for Ukraine, and there is no military threat to Moldova itself.

This was stated in an interview with Romanian Digi24 by NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană, European Pravda reports.

"We do not see any military risks for Moldova or Georgia at the moment - another country under intense pressure from russia. However, we expect provocations, and operations under a foreign flag not so much to create problems for Moldova as for Ukrainian forces in the west of Ukraine and Odesa oblast," - said Geoană.

At the same time, he added, there may be attempts to destabilize Moldova.

According to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, russia uses ammunition from the separatist region of Moldova and Transnistria to smuggle weapons.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the FSB will continue a series of provocative terrorist attacks in Transnistria. In the evening of April 23, the separatist region of Moldova Transnistria announced the shelling of the building of its "Ministry of State Security".

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that Transnistrian security forces could carry out sabotage in Ukraine. However, no signs of Transnistrian armed forces preparation for the fighting against Ukraine were found.

However, on April 26, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Russian troops in Transnistria had been put on full alert. On the same day, two communication towers were blown up in Transnistria.

In addition, according to intelligence, Russia is preparing a missile strike on Transnistria with civilian casualties.
