German Finance Minister Christian Lindner has confirmed that Germany will not pay for russian gas in rubles.
He wrote about this on his Twitter.
"Speaking to Putin, I say very clearly: we will not allow ourselves to be blackmailed! We will not continue to pay for russian gas in rubles. Obviously, we are doing everything possible to become independent of russia as soon as possible," he said.

In an interview, Funke Lindner said that Germany will not switch to payment in rubles, even for "emergency" developments.
We are reminding, that on March 31 the president of the russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the decree on calculations in rubles for gas supply to "unfriendly countries". The new rules come into force on April 1. Gazprombank has been appointed as the authorized bank.
