The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has debunked fakes of russian propaganda about providing Lend-Lease to Ukraine.

Occupants started to spread information that allegedly "many future generations of Ukrainian citizens will be paying for Lend-Lease".

"Generally, the debts can arise only if after the war with russia Ukraine would like to keep military equipment received at the expense of Lend-Lease. At the same time, all equipment destroyed and lost during military actions is written off," explained in CCD.

Aggressor country`s propagandists also stated that Washington allegedly knew about the forthcoming start of the war and was preparing for it, so the Lend-Lease bill was registered as far as in January.

"Senators introduced the bill on arms supply to Ukraine under the Lend-Lease at the beginning of January. But the process of gathering senators` signatures that had started on January 19, 2022, finished only on March 24, 2022. And only after that it [the bill] was referred for consideration to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Also, introduction of a bill to the Senate by all means doesn`t guarantee its passing," refuted russian disinformation in the CCD.

The US Congress supported the Lend-Lease for Ukraine. The bill was considered and voted upon by the House of Representatives on April 28.
