Ukrainian army hits Gen Gerasimov's field HQ in Izyum - Herashchenko

The Ukrainian military has hit the field headquarters of the 2nd army of the russian occupiers, where the staff of the Chief of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces Gerasimov was located.Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko wrote about this on Twitter.

"An hour ago, we received a confirmation of yesterday's explosion in Izium near the field headquarters of the 2nd army. It hit the place where the base of the chief of the General Staff of the russian federation Gerasimov, who came to lead the offensive on Slovyansk, was located," Herashchenko wrote.

According to him, a large number of killed among the senior officers of the army of the occupiers has been confirmed.

We reported earlier that the chief of the russian General Staff, Gerasimov, arrived in the Kharkiv region to control the actions of the occupiers personally.

As of May 1, the Russian occupiers lost 23,500 troops, 1,026 tanks, 2,471 armored vehicles, and 451 artillery systems in Ukraine. The greatest losses of the enemy over the past day were observed in the Izium direction.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the russian army is preparing additional refrigerators for the corpses of its military and expects thousands of new losses.
