The SSU neutralized a secret enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group. Agents of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces planned to shoot down a passenger plane over the territory of russia or Belarus.

This was reported by the press center of the SSU.

The occupiers intended to unjustifiably accuse Ukraine and our partners of attacking the aircraft. To commit the provocation, the attackers wanted to fire on a civilian plane from a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) Stinger. In order to steal and smuggle foreign MANPADS abroad, representatives of the aggressor country's special services gave a task to their intelligence group.

The enemy SRG consisted of two dual citizens and an accomplice. Their activities were coordinated by russian Alexander Tyuterev, who is a staff member of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces and has the call sign "Marine". It was established that he had previously participated in the organization of a series of terrorist attacks in the Odesa region, for which he is wanted.

On his instructions, enemy agents tried to establish contacts with representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the guise of patriotic volunteers. In order to form "trusting" relations, they provided the Ukrainian military with reliable information on the positions and movements of the Kadyrov occupying units.

In the future, the russian agency planned to use the established contacts to illegally obtain foreign MANPADS and transfer them to the aggressor country. During the special operation, SSU officers detained all members of the sabotage and reconnaissance group.

Among other things, it was established that the Marine lied to his leadership about the successes in Ukraine and gave the SRG under his control the task of falsifying the terrorist attack in the rear of Ukraine. In particular, they prepared stage photos and videos about the alleged attack on the territorial defense checkpoint.

On April 30, the SSU detained the last member of an intelligence network that facilitated enemy shelling in the Luhansk region.

The SSU also detained russian servicemen trying to seize the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant, and detained Oleksandr Zakharchenko, a former aide to the “Donetsk People’s Republic” leader and terrorist.
