The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhii Hayday urges residents of four communities to evacuate until the situation hasn’t worsened even more.
Haidai wrote on his Telegram account that evacuation buses are already on the way.
“I urge Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Hirske community to evacuate, you still have time before the situation is as difficult as in Popasna. On Sunday, May 1 the residents of Luhansk region will be evacuated from Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Hirske community. We rescued people from Popasna in an emergency mode, but we had to suspend the evacuation due to the events of April 29, when we lost contact with people in two buses. The situation in the city is extremely dangerous,” stressed Hayday.
Hayday said that Popasna residents had many opportunities to leave earlier, but now everything got more complicated.
“So do not wait until the last moment. While there is an opportunity - go away from the " russian world", which spares neither women nor children. Save lives. Buses are on the way. Meeting places in Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Hirske are not changed," added Hayday.
Evacuation from other areas of the Luhansk region is conducted via railway. For the last 24 hours russian enemy has shelled residential areas of the Luhansk region nineteen times. Severodonetsk and Lysychansk withstood six massive artillery shellings each,Rubizhne and Popasna areas withstood three each. As a result, twelve more houses became uninhabitable. Five of them are high-rise buildings in Severodonetsk, two more - in Rubizhne.
