The Azov Regiment shared a video of the current rescue operation in Mariupol.
The evacuation was made possible by the efforts of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the coherent work of the President's Office, coordinated by Andriy Yermak, said the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the talks with russia, Davyd Arahamiya.
«The most important part of the work was done by Denis Prokopenko and the Azov Regiment, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the team of the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Iryna Vereshchuk», said Arahamiya.
He thanked for the support of the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
«A lot of people worked to make it possible. The work will continue until we save all our people», Arahamiya added.
The evacuation of civilians from the territory of the Azovstal plant began today in Mariupol with the support of the UN and the Red Cross.
More than 100 Ukrainians, including children, women, and the elderly, are heading to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Tomorrow they will be met in Zaporizhya. The evacuation will continue tomorrow, May 2.
