On 1 May, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 17 artillery systems and 38 military vehicles of the enemy, as the Joint Forces Operation Facebook page reports.
"Thanks to their competent actions and skill, our warriors inflicted losses on russian occupiers. In particular, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 2 tanks, 17 artillery systems, 38 armored combat vehicles, and 10 automobiles by the enemy. The Air Defense units shot down 7 unmanned aerial vehicles in the sky of Ukrainian Donbas," the report reads.
During the day, the Ukrainian military repelled 10 attacks by the enemy.
Overall, this week in the JFO zone 45 tanks, 43 artillery systems, 4 special equipment units, 149 armored combat vehicles, 6 special combat vehicles, 3 special engineering equipment units, 68 vehicles, including 8 fuel trucks, and 4 anti-aircraft systems of the occupiers were destroyed. Also, 6 fighter jets and 2 cruise rockets were shot down in the Ukrainian sky.
Today in Mariupol the evacuation of civilians from the "Azovstal" plant territory started with the support of the UN and the Red Cross.
More than 100 Ukrainians, including children, women, and elderly people are heading toward the territory controlled by Ukraine. Tomorrow they will be greeted in Zaporizhzhya. The evacuation will continue tomorrow 2 May.
