Russian troops were not ready for war, they tried to enter Kyiv guided by 1987 maps.

This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov on a telethon, “Ukrinform” reports.

"I can say that fortunately for us ... We have a clear idea of how they were prepared ... Not at all. And it gave us some advantages. We in the National Security and Defense Council have such a trophy as the cards guided by which they had to enter the territory of Kyiv through the Kyiv oblast. These are old maps, maps of 1987," Danilov said.

The Head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Major General Mykola Zhyrnov, stated that Kyiv is currently still threatened by russia’s air and missile strikes, but the situation is under control.

The Kyiv City State Administration also said that currently there is no threat of a siege of the capital, but the city authorities are ready for any scenario. The city has prepared enough food and medicine and stores it in various places so that the russians do not destroy everything with one missile strike.

The MID of the Ministry of Defense also made public a secret document of the occupiers with a plan to capture Kyiv from the left bank.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces seized the staff maps of the russians, from which the "phenomenon" of Chornobaivka became clear.
