War is great tragedy for world's food security - Zelenskyy

The food crisis will be guaranteed if Ukraine is unable to deliver its harvest.

Due to the war waged by russia, all Ukrainian ports are closed today, and the sea route blocked for the export of our food and metallurgy is blocked.

This is no longer just a risk, but a great tragedy for the world's food security, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the 60 Minutes program.

"The pricing policy will be high for food. We can lose millions, tens of millions of tons of harvest that has already been harvested, russia does not produce yet. It does not produce ships, does not allow and does not let in, they control the Black Sea," he said.

Ukraine is trying to unblock sea routes to prevent a food crisis.

"After the energy crisis behind their decision, now there will be a food crisis. It will definitely be. It's 100%. Not 90, not 95 – 100% we will have if we can't deliver our harvest to Europe, to European ports, and then to other states," he said.

russia understands this situation well. The russian army is beating on railways and other roads. Rockets hit the bridges where our goods are exported.

It will be recalled that Ukraine and Bulgaria are going to transfer the export of Ukrainian grain to Bulgarian ports. The russians are constantly shelling grain storage facilities. Today they fired a missile at an elevator in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
