UAF (Armed Forces of Ukraine) pushed russians away from Kharkiv in the northern direction, but the enemy keeps terrorizing civilians. The enemy's fire is not aimed; the russian occupiers hit residential areas, which in the first place harms civilians.
The Head of the Kharkiv RMA (Region Military Administration), Oleh Syniehubov, reported this information on the morning of 5 May 2022. He emphasized that any district, yard, or playground can get hit. That is why it is extremely dangerous to stay outside without an urgent need.
"The enemy continues to fire using MLRSs and artillery. During the day, the russians hit Pyatyhatki, the village of Zhukovsky, Saltivka, and Northern Saltivka," - said Sinegubov.
In the morning, there were shellings of the Northern Saltivka. There were no victims.
"Izium area remains the hottest spot in the Kharkiv region. There, the russian enemy is constantly trying to attack the positions of UAF, particularly near the town of Barvinkove, but suffers significant losses," - added he.
Also, yesterday the russians tried to attack the UAF positions in the Vovchansk areas; the enemy was defeated there as well.
"We clearly understand what forces the enemies have and how they move. Currently, all enemy military vehicles and equipment move through the Vovchansk and Kupiansky areas to reach Izium to increase their military forces in the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. However, we are ready to face any situation that may develop in all these areas," - concluded Oleh Sinegubov.
According to the morning summary of RMA, yesterday, due to the shellings in the Kharkiv region, an 11-year-old boy from the Lozovsky district was wounded. Also, one person died in the Balakliia district. The combats continue in Izium.
The General Staff clarified that russia continues firing artillery and mortar round in the area north of Izium. Enemy artillery shelling continues along the line of confrontation in the Donetsk and Tavriya directions. In addition, the enemies use tactical and army aircraft to launch missile and bomb strikes to restrain Ukrainian troops' actions.
