Currently, 2.5 million Kyivans have arrived in Kyiv - almost two thirds of its inhabitants. Before the war, 3.5 million people lived in the capital.

This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko on the air of the national marathon #UArazom.

“We are counting with telecom operators, given that each of us has telephones, and today we can count the number of telephones in our city, it is about 2.5 million Kyivites are already in our city… Almost two thirds of Kyiv residents have already returned”, – Klitschko said.

He added that Kyivans who left the city because of the war with russia could return home. However, the city authorities cannot guarantee their safety, as the possibility of rocket fire remains at the moment. "If it is possible to be in safer places where there is no risk to life and health, please stay, and if possible - we will not refuse you to return home today”, – said Vitaliy Klitschko.

We will remind, yesterday the Ministry of Defense declared danger of missile strikes across Kyiv and area. Iskander tactical missile systems are located on the territory of the republic of belarus, and seven ships with cruise missiles are located in the Black Sea. Russia can strike with Caliber missiles throughout Ukraine, so air alarms should not be neglected.
