Relatives of servicemen who continue to hold the defense of Mariupol appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross to help evacuate the injured soldiers.
This is stated in a video appeal.
“Help save the injured, who are now in Mariupol without medicine. Medics, doctors and Azov soldiers, who are now heroically holding the defense. But every minute counts,” says the wife of one of the fighters.
“The situation is critical. The soldiers keep doing the impossible - holding Azovstal. Now the whole world must do the impossible for them,” another woman added.
The children and mothers of the defenders of Mariupol also appealed to the international community.
Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk urged the international community to join the organization of the evacuation of injured Ukrainian servicemen from the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
Also, the National Guard previously reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leadership of the state are making efforts to find ways to evacuate civilians from Azovstal and are trying to apply the procedure of “extraction” on injured fighters, medics, and military personnel, involving the assistance of the international community.
