Since the beginning of May, russia has launched 49 missile strikes on Ukraine and fired 74 cruise and ballistic missiles.
Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Department of the General Staff of the UAF, made this statement at the ‘Ukraine’ media center.
‘During May, the armed forces of the russian federation launched 49 missile strikes from russia. 74 cruise and ballistic missiles were fired, including 4 Iskanders, 8 Tochka U, 2 sea-launched and air-launched cruise missiles. 459 air raids were carried out," said the brigadier general.
Gromov added that the main targets of the russians were the transport infrastructure of the southern and eastern regions of the country, although repeatedly fired on other critical infrastructure of social importance.
Since the beginning of full-scale hostilities, the russian armed forces have carried out 487 missile strikes, during which 788 cruise and ballistic missiles have been fired from the territories of russia and of the of belarus republic. These were: Iskander operational-tactical missiles – 213 units, Tochka U operational-tactical missiles – 61 units, sea-launched and air-launched cruise missiles – 235 units.
Since the beginning of the war, the enemy has made 4917 combat flights.
Operational command "South" reported that Russia started to allocate ammunition and to fire at Ukraine with outdated missiles of the soviet production.
