The invaders are hunting down people with a pro-Ukrainian position in russian-occupied Popasna, and the town's residents are disappearing en masse.
This was announced in Telegram by the head of the Luhansk Military Administration Serhiy Haidai.
According to him, the situation in the Luhansk region has significantly deteriorated: the shelling has intensified along the entire front line. Heavy fighting continues in Bilogorivka, Komyshuvata and on the outskirts of Sievierodonetsk. Bielogorodka is holding back russian invasion: the Ukrainian Armed Forces have twice destroyed pontoon crossings.
There is no electricity, water, gas, or mobile communication in the Luhansk region. The only road that connects the region with the "big land" is under fire, passages are too risky.
The russians are destroying the captured settlements. "Rashists do not change tactics: they destroy cities and only then go to the scorched earth," - said Serhiy Haidai.
Sievierodonetsk (community villages), Lysychansk and Horske (villages and community towns), part of Rubizhne, remain under Ukrainian control.
On May 8 Serhiy Haidai reported that UAF withdrew from Popasna and took the positions prepared in advance.
