The American TV channel CNN showed footage of the murder of two unarmed local civilians by the russian military on the outskirts of Kyiv.

This was reported on the channel's website.

The video from the surveillance camera is dated March 16. A group of russian soldiers stopped and searched the owner of an unnamed local company, as well as 68-year-old security guard Leonid Plyats.

"The video was verified by CNN. It was collected from several cameras around the building, and although it has no sound, the images are clear. It was a cowardly, cold-blooded murder of two unarmed people. Five russian soldiers arrive and try to break into a car dealership, shooting at locks and breaking glass. When the owner approaches with raised hands, they stop him and search him. Then Plyats comes, and he is also searched," the statement reads.

After the search, the russians killed both men by shooting them in the back. Leonid Plyats did not die immediately: the footage shows him trying to get up and reach his security booth and call for help.

The video is currently attached to the materials of the international investigation of war crimes of the russian army in Ukraine.

Office of the Prosecutor General sent to court the indictment concerning the russian military man for murder of the civilian in the Sumy region. The investigation established that on February 28, 2022, a 21-year-old russian soldier killed an unarmed resident of Chupakhivka village, who was riding a bicycle along the roadside.

Earlier, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the russian occupiers killed more civilian Ukrainians than were killed in combat.
