Russia continues active combat operations in the Eastern Operational Zone. The greatest activity is in the Slobozhans and Donetsk directions. There is a threat of missile attacks on sea-based facilities throughout the country.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said this at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
In the Black Sea zone, the occupants are trying to increase their presence on Zmiinyi Island, and terrorize the population on the seized territories. The russians want to use Zmiinyi Island to block maritime routes.
In the Kharkiv direction, the russians are regrouping and trying to prevent the further advance of our troops to the border. They do not stop firing artillery at our defenders. In the Slovyansk direction, they regroup their forces to resume the offensive.
In the Donetsk region, the occupants are actively combatting in Lyman, Severodonetsk, Popasna, Kurakhivsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivsk directions. The goal is to establish control over Rubizhne and seize Lyman, Severodonetsk, and Marinka.
Near Bilohorivka (6 km from Lysychansk), the russians are trying to establish a bridgehead for an offensive on Lysychansk. In the direction of Siverske, the enemy advances on Zelena Dolyna and Novoselivka, where active fighting continues.
In the Mariupol direction, the enemy blocks our units at Azovstal, does not stop air strikes from aircraft and carries out artillery fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy is shelling units of our troops practically along the entire contact line. Pivdennyi Buh and Tavriya directions - the russians are trying to improve their position.
There were demonstrative actions to restrain Ukrainian troops in the Tavriya direction.
Volyn, Polissya, and Siversky directions: up to seven battalions of the belarusian armed forces continue to reinforce the section of the border with Ukraine.
"The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of belarus against the facilities of our state remains," Motuzyanyk stressed.
The FSB strengthened its presence at the checkpoints in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy shelled our positions near the villages of Karpovychi and Senkivka in the Chernihiv region.
In the Bessarabian direction, the russians continue to be on full alert. In the Black and Azov Seas, russian ships are isolating the area, conducting reconnaissance, and attempting to provide fire support. In western Crimea, the enemy has deployed additional air defenses as well as three control points.
In Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions and the border areas of Sumy, civilian infrastructure is being deliberately destroyed.
The occupiers are also preparing to integrate the temporarily occupied territories into the russian federation; in particular, they want to change the administrative-territorial division and adapt the banking and law enforcement systems to russian law. They are also preparing to distribute russian passports.
The enemy suffers losses in all directions. Ukrainian losses, according to a spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, are much lower.
