On 12 May, British intelligence reported that the russian federation army's offensive actions are developing in five directions at once: the Lyman, Severodonetsk, Bahmut, Avdiivka, and Kurakhiv ones. The enemy's main task was to establish full control over Rubizhne and capture Lyman.
However, despite small-scale initial advances, Russia has failed to achieve substantial territorial gains over the past month whilst sustaining consistently high levels of attrition.
