US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has assured that NATO allies intend to continue to impose sanctions on the russian federation for as long as necessary.
He made the statement following the summit of NATO foreign ministers, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"We intend to continue providing security assistance to Ukraine, imposing sanctions, taking export control measures, and exerting diplomatic pressure on russia as needed," Blinken said.
He also noted that the United States and its allies are focused on assisting Kyiv in the military sphere and at the negotiating table.
Earlier, the adviser to the chairman of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhaylo Podolyak, emphasized that Ukraine and the world aren't interested in a prolonged war with the russian federation. For victory to happen as soon as possible, Western countries must impose an actual embargo on russian oil and supply weapons to Ukraine.
