Eight people were killed as a result of an airstrike by russian forces on the morning of May 17 on the village of Desna, in the Chernihiv region. Another 12 were injured.
This information as of noon reported in the Main Department of the State Emergencies Service in the Chernihiv region, writes "Suspilne".
Today around 5:00 russian aircraft fired four missiles at the village of Desna, two of them hit the building.
On the previous day, the Operational Command North reported that the enemy did not stop shelling border settlements in the Siversky direction from the russian territory. Thus, almost 40 explosions were recorded during the day in the direction of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions from the territory of the russian federation.
The village of Desna is located near the border of the Kyiv region. There is a training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Desna.
