Adviser to the head of the President's Office of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak confirmed the information of the Russian side that the process of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia has been suspended.

This was reported by UNIAN

Podoliak also noted that the negotiation process will be resumed.

"And, I think, the moderator will be Zelensky," he said.

The adviser to the head of the OPU also stated that Ukraine is not going to give anything up to "save Putin's face".

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of russia Andrei Rudenko said that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine "do not take place in any form." "No, negotiations are not continuing. Ukraine has practically went out from the negotiation process," he said.

Updated. Podoliak explained that the negotiation process has been suspended because Russia's military-political leadership is still thinking stereotypically and does not take into account the changes of the situation in Ukraine that happened since the beginning of the war, “Interfax-Ukraine” reports.

"The negotiation process depends on how things are evolving in Ukraine. They have changed significantly since the beginning of the war… Today it is suspended. Suspended because there are no significant changes or changes after the Istanbul Communiqué. Russia still remains in its stereotypical thinking. During the 82 days of the war, russia did not understand that the situation in Ukraine is not at all what they thought from the beginning… They still live in a world where there is allegedly exists Ukrainian Nazism, "Podoliak said on a telethon.

According to the adviser to the head of the OP, russia's directives on Ukraine also do not change.

"That is, they continue to actively blackmail. And they say it publicly. We hear Lavrov or Peskov, who make claims against Ukraine, although they are not participants of the negotiation process," Podoliak said.

"But I emphasize: any war will still end at the negotiating table," he added.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated earlier that the issue of negotiations with russia gets more complicated every day due to new and new evidence of atrocities committed by russian military in Ukrainian territories. He stressed that the Ukrainian side is ready, to begin with, to talk about withdrawal of enemy troops to the positions they held before the full-scale invasion. The Ukrainian and russian delegations held the last face-to-face round of negotiations on March 29 in Istanbul. After that, the negotiations took place online.
