Portugal will provide up to 250 mln euros in financial support to Ukraine. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
"A memorandum was signed today with Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa during his visit to Kyiv," he said.
Ukraine is to receive the first tranche of up to 100 million euros this year.
"This will help Ukraine maintain macroeconomic stability during the war and allow it to recover as soon as possible after our victory. Thank you, Portugal, for this support!" - Shmyрal emphasized.
Еoday the Prime Minister of Portugal Antonio Costa arrived in Ukraine for the first time. He visited Irpin city, which was affected by the russian invasion.
Costa also met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and expressed readiness to join the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war.
