Over the past 24 hours, in the Mykolaiv region 15 people got injured because of the enemy forces' shelling, the Mykolaiv Region Council head Hanna Zamazeeva reported on her Telegram.
"Occupiers keep shelling the Mykolaiv region. Mykolaiv city and the settlements bordering the Kherson region came under fire again. 15 people got injured over the past 24 hours. Fortunately, there are no children among the casualties," – she wrote.
According to the report, all the injured were admitted to the region's medical institutions and got the necessary treatment.
As of the morning of 24 May, 162 people wounded because of the occupiers' attacks on the region have been delivered to Mykolaiv hospitals.
Major General Dmytro Marchenko who was commanding the defence of Mykolaiv at the beginning of the full-scale rf's war against Ukraine stated that russia had been planning to seize Mykolaiv under the same scenario it had occupied Mariupol.
