Google was the first company to receive the Ukraine Peace Prize. Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov personally presented it to the company's vice president Karan Bhatia.

Fedorov said about it on Telegram.

"This award was founded by the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for companies and corporations that left the russian market. And also for the governments and world politicians most supportive of Ukraine. The corporation's contribution to our victory is invaluable," he wrote.

According to Fedorov, Google was one of the first to join the sanctions against russia: it shut down a number of russian propaganda media on Youtube, stopped new registrations for cloud services, Google Pay, and monetization features for YouTube in russia.

"The corporation also supported us on the cyber front by providing tools to protect Ukrainian accounts from cyber-attacks. And their employees have made millions of donations and provided grants worth 45 mn dollars. We are grateful to Google for a straightforward position," said the Minister.

Google will allocate 10 million dollars to counter fakes about the war in Ukraine.
