The russian occupiers continue to forcibly impose the russian curriculum in schools in Mariupol and have announced the extension of the school year until September 1.
The adviser of the Mariupol mayor Petro Andryushchenko reported about it.
"The occupiers have announced the extension of the school year until September 1. That is, without vacations. The main goal is de-Ukrainization and preparation for the school year under the russian program. Children will be taught all summer to teach russian language and literature, russian history and mathematics in russian." he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The russians plan to open nine schools in the occupied city.
"However, so far we have managed to convince to find only 53 teachers. 6 teachers per school is a vivid illustration of russian education in Mariupol during the occupation," Andryushchenko added.
Earlier the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova said that in Mariupol the russian occupiers opened a "children's center" in a room where there is no light and water, and food is prepared on fire in the yard.
