Fighters of the Joint Forces repelled ten enemy attacks today. The occupiers shelled more than 20 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"Along the entire line of defense, the enemy uses combat aircraft, multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber artillery, tanks, mortars of various systems, launches missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure, residential areas," the Joint Forces said.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs that the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the occupiers' assault in two directions and maintained control over the Bakhmut-Severodonetsk road. Fighting continues in the eastern part of Severodonetsk.

Russia has begun striking Ukraine's ground targets with anti-ship missiles, reducing the use of Caliber cruise missiles.

This may indicate that Russia has used significant reserves of modern missile weapons and is forced to use outdated types of missiles. At the same time, groups of approximately 30 ships and submarines continue the blockade of civilian shipping.

More than 2,500 Azovstal fighters are in Russian captivity, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the journalists. 

The President believes that there is no point torturing and harming these prisoners in Russia, as they are "public prisoners."

According to Zelensky, the issue of their exchange is dealt with by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

Later, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, named the exact number of captured defenders of Mariupol - 2439 on Channel 24.

The aggressor country has begun handing over to Ukraine the bodies of Ukrainian defenders killed in Azovstal.

Dozens of bodies were taken from the steelworks grounds and brought to Kyiv. DNA analysis is currently underway to identify the remains.

The European Union has developed a plan to replace Russian gas. Alternative suppliers are the United States or Qatar.
