According to Reuters, US authorities have received arrest warrants for two American-made planes belonging to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Abramovich is accused of flying to Russia without a license, which is required due to US sanctions against Russia.

According to the US Department of Commerce, this February, the Russian oligarch identified his children as beneficiaries of several fictitious organizations that own the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Gulfstream G650 ER aircraft. Meanwhile, the assets were managed by Abramovich himself.

The US Department of Commerce said that Abramovich's Gulfstream flew from Istanbul to Moscow on March 12, and Boeing - from Dubai to Moscow on March 4, after export restrictions came into force on February 24.

Because the planes were American-made, Abramovich would need a license to fly to Russia. However, no licenses were issued for the flights, according to the warrant for the confiscation of the aircraft.

Abramovich may face administrative sanctions, including a $ 328,121 fine and a denial of further export "privileges."

In April, France froze the real estate of Abramovich and other Russian oligarchs worth a total of $620 mln. In the offshore zone of Jersey, $ 7 billion worth of Abramovich's assets were frozen.
