The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine asked the EU to clarify the exclusion of russian cloud services from the sanctions, "RBC-Ukraine" reports.
"The European party, in fact, did report in its public communication that the sixth sanctions package had included prohibition to provide "cloud" services. At the same time, the "cloud" technologies didn't make it to the final decision. We have already turned to our European partners for clarification," – the MFA's spokesperson Oleh Nikolenko said.
He emphasized that Ukraine keeps standing up for strengthening sanctions against the aggressor state to make the invasion price as high as possible.
On 7 May, the Office of the President's head advisor Mykhailo Podolyak reported that the European Union eased the sanctions against russia removing mentions of blocking cloud services.
