The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has said that Volodymyr Putin made a "historic and fundamental" error by invading Ukraine and is now "isolated", Guardian reported, quoting AFP.
"I think I told him that he had made a historic and fundamental mistake for his people, himself, and history," Macron said in an interview with French regional media.
The President of France added that russia should not be "humiliated" to allow an improvement in diplomatic relations between the west and Moscow whenever the war comes to an end.
Macron also noted that Putin is currently isolated, and it is difficult to get out of this situation.
In addition, Emmanuel Macron said that he does not rule out his visit to Kyiv.
