The Security Service of Ukraine has foiled russian attempts to track down the location and movement of Ukrainian military units, anti-ship and air defence systems in Ukraine's Black Sea coastal areas.

The service said that it had detained a man who was tasked with establishing the coordinates for a series of russian missile strikes against southern Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the traitor was recruited by a representative of the Russian special services to carry out sabotage in Odesa.

An anonymous Telegram channel was set up for communication. Through it, the agent received assignments and "reported" on their execution.

"Another task the traitor had was to form an extensive network of agents to gather intelligence in southern Ukraine," the special service added.

The suspect was placed into custody.
