President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree to appoint Ruslan Zaparanyuk head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration instead of Serhi Osachuk, who was dismissed earlier.
Zaparanyuk was born in the village of Nyzhni Stanivtsi, Chernivtsi Region, in 1974. He graduated from the Chernivtsi Fedkovych State Univeristy, majoring in physics, in 1997 and from the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economy in 2003, majoring in accounting and audit.
Since July 2014, he has headed the Chernivtsi regional department of the State Savings Bank of Ukraine (Oschadbank).
