Representatives of Ukraine are in talks with the USA regarding the supply of long-range missiles for HIMARS systems, a member of the parliamentary committee for national security and defence, Fedir Venislavskyy, said during the TV marathon.
"At all levels, our state is negotiating with US representatives on the need to provide us with longer-range missiles for HIMARS," Venislavskyy said.
He added that the Ukrainian army currently has missiles with a shooting range of up to 70 km. However, the USA has missiles capable of hitting targets at a much greater distance.
"So I think there is every chance of breaking through that and getting long-range missiles. But right now we don't have them yet," Venislavsky said.
