Ukraine has arranged that the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will allocate over $500 million for preparation for the heating season, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He noted that the tariffs will remain the same this winter.
"Also, the government will continue to pay subsidies to Ukrainians who need help with the payment of utility bills," he added.
He said the government is also to approve the Joint Declaration of Association between the Cabinet of Ministers and the International Energy Agency. The document, according to Shmyhal, is needed to "enhance our cooperation and interaction".
