Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that Ukraine's recovery plan is already estimated at $750 billion, an important source being the confiscation of the aggressor's funds.
He said this at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"Who should pay for the recovery plan, which is already estimated at $750 billion. We believe that the key source of [money for] reconstruction should be the confiscation of Rusia's and Russian oligarchs' assets," he said.
The prime minister thanked the countries that have already started the confiscation process and called on other partners to join the process.
Among the sources of renewal, the prime minister also named international grants, preferential loans from international financial institutions, private sector investments and extra-budgetary contributions from individuals and corporations. Shmyhal pointed that one of the sources of funding for the renewal of the country will be the Ukrainian budget.
According to the vision of Ukraine's recovery, entitled "A strong European country is a magnet for foreign investments", in the following 10 years, the plan envisages implementation of 850 projects worth over $750 billion. Some 580 projects worth over $350 billion are envisaged for 2023-2025, and 270 projects worth over $400 billion will be implemented in 2026-2032.
