A large convoy of Russian military equipment was detected moving towards Zaporizhzhya Region in temporarily occupied Mariupol on 15 July, Pyotr Andryushchenko, an adviser to the city mayor, has said.

"We continue registering the movement of military equipment past Mariupol. Yesterday a large column of military equipment of up to 100 units passed through the city in the direction of Zaporizhzhya Region. Some people took BMD-4s in the column for tanks. There are also a large number of armoured personnel carriers," the report reads.

According to Andryushchenko, a large number of Russian soldiers were accommodated, who were brought in Kamaz trucks, in the villages of Nikolske and Mangush districts on the border with Zaporizhzhya Region. The occupiers are mainly housed in schools.

"Locals report that the absolute majority of the occupiers are quite young. Some say in conversations that they are conscripts," Andryushchenko added.
