Russian war criminal Ochur-Suge Mongush, who cut off the genitals and executed a Ukrainian prisoner, is commanded by two Russian mercenaries from the Akhmat unit - Dmitry Kobreyev and Mikhail Chilingaryan, Slidstvo.Info has said.

Its journalists, who have analysed dozens of videos and hundreds of photos showing mercenaries from this unit and the sadist, have discovered that the commander of this unit is Russian Dmitry Kobreyev aka Cobra.

"Ramzan Kadyrov introduces Kobreyev as the interim commander of the Akhmat regiment. He also appears in various propaganda videos and presents himself as the head of a special unit. We have been able to identify the true face of Cobra using facial recognition software, searches on Russian social networks and archived web pages," the website said.

Investigators determined that Kobreyev identifies himself as a Kadyrovite. He shouts 'Akhmat - power!' and other typical slogans in the videos. At the same time, he has nothing to do with the Chechen people, as he is an ordinary military mercenary who has taken part in various military conflicts on the side of the Russian occupying army. In his old interviews, Kobreyev said that he had fought on the Russian side during the war in Georgia.

It has been established that in the spring of 2014, Kobreyev came to Crimea as part of the Cossack units, where he helped the Russian occupying army to annex the Ukrainian peninsula. A few months later, he joined the terrorist group Novorossiya, where he and other fighters committed crimes and fought against the Ukrainian army.

In occupied Donetsk, Dmytro Kobreyev married a Ukrainian woman, Yuliya Podduyeva, who changed her surname to Kobreyeva. Journalists found archived advertisements on the OLX website, where the couple were selling various items from occupied Donetsk, as well as looking for drivers from occupied Donbas territories to work as taxi drivers in Moscow.

The immediate commander of Tuvan sadist Ochur-Suge Mongush is probably Russian national Mikhail Chilingaryan. He is referred to in Russian propaganda features as "deputy commander of the Akhmat unit". According to journalists' observations, Chilingaryan and sadist Mongush regularly appear together in videos.

"In his social media accounts, Chilingaryan says that he studied at the Penza Artillery Engineering Institute," Slidstvo.info said.

In addition, analysts of the Ukrainian company Molfar found documents in Russian databases, according to which Chilingaryan worked for a long time in the Rostov Region's Russian Guard, which correlates with the videos found by investigators, which clearly show his chevron identical exactly to that of the Russian Guard.

At the end of July, Russian propaganda resources circulated a video where Russian occupiers tortured to death a prisoner of war wearing a Ukrainian Armed Forces uniform. In particular, a sadist wearing a distinctive "cowboy" hat cut off the prisoner's genitals with a box knife. The man was then executed and his body tied to a vehicle.

Bellingcat and The Insider investigative journalists established that the sadist in the hat was Tuvan mercenary Ochur-Suge Mongush, a member of the Akhmat unit controlled by Ramzan Kadyrov. The war crime took place near occupied Severodonetsk.
