The Ukrainian military has rendered the Antonivskyy road bridge in Kherson impassable, Vladyslav Nazarov, a spokesman for the Operational Command South, has said.
"Continuing fire control over the transport and logistics arteries of the occupied territories, the Antonivskyy road bridge has been assigned the status - impassable," he said.
Nazarov added that Ukrainian rocket and artillery units overnight destroyed nine occupiers, a T-72 tank, a self-propelled artillery unit and an airborne combat vehicle. The rest of the enemy's losses are being checked.
Maj-Gen Dmytro Marchenko earlier said he was convinced that Kherson's liberation by the end of the year is an achievable goal.
According to British intelligence, given the limited supply chain, the size of the Russian army's reserves will be key to its endurance on the right bank of the Dnieper in Kherson Region.
