The Ukrainian Armed Forces have hit the headquarters of the Wagner PMC in the Russian-occupied town of Popasna, Luhansk Region, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Serhiy Hayday, has said on Telegram.
The Ukrainian army hit the target, using information from a Russian propaganda media representative as a tip-off.
"The Wagner PMC HQ was destroyed with a precision strike. The death toll is being clarified," he said.
At the same time, the Russians started to use assault and army aviation on the front line more actively: three settlements were shelled from the air. Seven rockets were also fired. During the night, the enemy's artillery operated seven times. Four times the Russians shelled towns and villages using multiple rocket launchers and six times using mortars. Four tank offensives were carried out.
In addition, the occupiers are increasingly conducting reconnaissance of the front line of the Ukrainian defence.
"However, eight enemy attacks were successfully repelled on 14 August. A Russian reconnaissance group was disarmed by our military. People in captured towns in Luhansk Region are gradually despairing of the occupying authorities," Hayday noted.
