Ukraine's national atomic energy company Energoatom has denied reports about the alleged loss of control over the radiation level at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

It noted on Telegram that these allegations do not correspond to reality.

"Radiation background measurement data was probably not received by Centre for Forecasting the Consequences of Radiation Accidents of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre for some time in the morning as a result of an internet connection failure," Energoatom explained.

The last transmission line which connected the Zaporizhzhya NPP/Zaporizhzhya TPP node to the Ukrainian energy system was disconnected today due to a fire caused by Russian shelling.

As a result, the personnel had to unload and disconnect from the grid power generating unit No 6, which was serving the Zaporizhzhya NPP's own needs.
