Ukrainian troops have made the river crossings near Kherson impassable. Also, the Russians will not be able to deploy troops across the Dnieper River, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has said on Facebook.

Ukrainian troops repelled the Russian army's attempted offensives in the areas of Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, Pokrovske, Bakhmutske, Lozove, Spartak, Soledar, Zaytseve and Semyhirya. In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops had tactical success and pushed the occupiers from the positions they had previously occupied.

The ruscists suffered considerable losses. In particular, the Russians lost over a hundred servicemen killed and wounded near Kupyansk in Kharkiv Region. In addition, two combat vehicles were destroyed. In Kherson, the Defence Forces destroyed more than 30 ruscists and three enemy tanks. An anti-aircraft missile system and six Russian trucks were destroyed near the Antonivskyy bridge and crossing.

Ukrainian aviation was also active, having launched over 15 strikes to destroy the invaders' manpower, military and special equipment and other military facilities.

During the day, the occupying forces fired rocket launchers on over 40 occasions.

They also carried out more than 25 air strikes against the settlements of Zalyman in Kharkiv Region, Dmytrivka, Bohorodychne, Zaytseve, Kodema, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Region, and Dorozhnyanka in Zaporizhzhya Region.

According to the Ukrainian command, the situation on the front lines as of 6 p.m. on 5 September is as follows:

- In the waters of the Black Sea, sea-launched Kalibr cruise missile carriers remain on standby.

- In Volyn and Polissya - no significant changes.

- In Sivershchyna, the border areas of settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy regions came under enemy fire.

- In Kharkiv Region, Russia shelled the areas of Udy, Odnorobivka, Sosnivka, Dementiyivka, Nove, Pytomnyk, Borshchova, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Petrivka, Momotove, Bayrak, Slobozhanske, Husarivka, Mospanove and Chepil.

- In the Slovyansk area, enemy fire covered Krasnopillya, Virnopillya, Dibrivne and Bohorodychne.

- In the Kramatorsk area, Russian attacks targeted Donetske, Pyskunivka, Kryva Luka, Siversk and Spirne.

- In the Bakhmut area, the occupiers shelled Mykolayivka, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Kodema, Zaytseve and Mayorsk.

- In the Avdiyivka area, they fired on Oleksandrivka, Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Krasnohorivka and Maryinka.

- In the Novopavlivsk area, the occupiers targeted Vilne Pole, Vremivka, Novomykhaylivka and Kermenchyk;

- In the Zaporizhzhya area, the Russians shelled Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Novopil, Hulyaypole, Chervone and Kamyanske.

- In the South Buh area, the Russians are focusing on defending the previously occupied lines and positions, further shelling the areas of Kvitneve, Shevchenkove, Lyubomyrivka, Novohryhorivka, Posad Pokrovske, Ukrayinka, Prybuzke, Lymany, Lupareve, Myrne, Oleksandrivka and Tavriyske.
