Special forces troops have carried out a special operation in the temporarily occupied Kamyanka-Dniprovska (Vasylivka District, Zaporizhzhya Region). As a result, a number of facilities used by the Russian occupiers for their bases were destroyed and substantially damaged, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate has said.
It is noted that fires are still burning in several premises, which the occupiers have not been able to extinguish for a long time. In particular - the office of the State Treasury Service.
"A storage for pseudo-referendum ballots was destroyed. The warehouse was blown up from inside the premises. All available printed materials were destroyed. The location of the Russian FSB unit, which was guarding the ballot papers, was destroyed too," the Maiin Intelligence Directorate said.
The exact number of killed and wounded is being specified. The survivors and the wounded are being urgently evacuated in the direction of occupied Crimea.
The occupiers have now imposed a strict curfew in the city from 7 a.m. Military helicopters have been spotted over the city.
"No civilians were injured during the special operation," the Ukrainian Defence Ministry said.
Earlier, the Russian occupiers said that they had "taken a break" from holding a pseudo-referendum to "annex" Kherson Region. This happened after the Ukrainian Armed Forces accurately shelled several bridges and attacked Russian troops in several directions.
