The russian occupiers "took a break" as far as holding a pseudo-referendum about "attaching" Kherson Region to the russian federation is concerned - Stremousov, who himself had recently fled to Voronezh, announced on the air of russian media.
"We have prepared for the vote, we wanted to hold the referendum soon... But because of all the events that have happened now, I think that we will pause for a while ... Because we are not rushing forward, and we are fulfilling the main task - to feed the population, to secure the population," he said.
Stremousov said that "even without a referendum, Kherson is forever russian," and people are eager to "run" to the occupiers' referendum.
Since Monday, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have continued to attack russian troops in several directions in the south. In some places, the UAF pushed the front line back a certain distance. Moscow, meanwhile, demands from the occupying authorities of the Kherson region to continue preparations for holding the pseudo-referendum. However, the latter do not even have the opportunity to create a suitable "picture".
