On Monday, 5 September, four of the six IAEA inspectors who stayed at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant occupied by the russians completed their work.

They have already left the station site, Enerhoatom says on Telegram.

"Two experts are expected to continue to work at the ZNPP permanently," the message adds.

On 31 August, the IAEA mission, after a visit to the capital of Ukraine, left for the ZNPP. The russians fired at the agreed route of the mission from Zaporizhzhya to the ZNPP, as well as the satellite town of ZNPP - Enerhodar. Despite the shelling, the IAEA mission set off for Enerhodar and arrived there on 1 September.

The delegation of 14 members was headed by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. He stayed at the station for several hours, after which he left it along with several inspectors. Six inspectors remained at the nuclear power plant.

Ukraine had insisted that, together with inspectors, independent journalists should have accessed the station where the enemy placed heavy weapons. The occupiers prevented this.
