Lithuania will soon transfer two batches of armored vehicles to Ukraine. Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, who was in Ukraine on a working visit, announced this yesterday.
The minister stressed: Lithuania is well aware that Ukraine is fighting for its freedom and security, too, Delfi writes. He assured that his country will continue to provide comprehensive support and strengthen the support of the international community for Ukraine.
Landsbergis also noted that russia's attacks on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant are a real danger and "Europe must understand it." Moscow uses the Zaporizhzhya NPP for blackmail, and the only way to prevent a nuclear danger, in his opinion, is to establish a "safe zone", which would be supervised on an international scale, and to force the occupiers out from there.
Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anushauskas, for his part, tweeted that Lithuanians' support for Ukraine is not limited to military supplies only. The Ministry of Health of the country supports the Ukrainians with medical equipment and medicines, and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy - with trucks with food and seeds.
Earlier, Lithuania sent Ukrainians 105-mm howitzers. The Lithuanians also raised funds to purchase the Turkish Bayraktar drone for the UAF, however, the manufacturer provided it for free.
