Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Hanna Malyar published updated data on the territory of Kharkiv Region liberated from russian occupiers – Malyar's Facebook account states.

"Therefore, since 6 September, about 8,500 square kilometers, about 388 settlements and about 150,000 people have been liberated in Kharkiv region," the deputy minister of defence said.

She added that the numbers are constantly changing and "it is very important to perceive them in the general context of the war, and not separately." And she noted that the liberated territories "still need additional security and stabilization measures to be suitable for safe living."

"Therefore, official reports with the figures of the liberated settlements are provided with a deliberate delay and may or may not take into account the stabilization measures taken, and therefore differ," Malyar added.

Active combat is occurring along 1,300 kilometers of a 2,500 front line, the deputy head of the Defence Ministry noted.

"We are conducting a defensive operation, within the framework of which it is also possible to carry out offensive actions. Yes, we have been waiting for this success for a long time, but we still have to fight and fight. Before the complete victory, we still have a lot of our people and our lands to liberate. We still need a lot of time, strength and patience," Malyar said.

At a briefing in Balakliya, the deputy minister of defence said that since 6 September, as a result of an offensive operation in Kharkiv Region, 3,800 sq. km, more than 300 settlements and about 150,000 people have been liberated. However, the real number of liberated territories in Kharkiv Region is almost twice as big.
